Personal data policy

The information we need. The care it deserves.

This policy explains what happens when you analyze files or submit a request, how long information is retained and how to exercise your data rights.

Who provides the service?

DiloGlobal is the trade name of this service. Contact info@diloglobal.com for identification of the service provider; this information is included in the written quote and agreement before an assignment starts.

What the website processes.

The document estimator temporarily analyzes PDF, DOCX and image files to measure pages and, when available, extract a word count. The initial analysis does not persist a copy. Files are stored only after you review the estimate, provide the required authorizations and submit your request.

A request may include your name, email, telephone, city, languages, intended use and scope options. Accepted document requests also include the original files, technical measurements, estimate, consents and request reference. Event inquiries collect organization, event format, languages, dates, duration and audience details, without file attachments.

Why we use the information.

We use this information to analyze documents, calculate and review quotes, issue receipts, prepare interpreting proposals, check availability, coordinate confirmed assignments and respond to privacy requests. Documents are not sold or used to train models.

Hosting, proxy or CDN services may generate limited operational records such as IP address, browser information, time and requested route. Their retention depends on the provider and the configured infrastructure. Document contents are not published in URLs or public download links.

Sensitive information and children’s data.

Civil records, health information, background checks, migration files and academic records can contain sensitive or highly personal information. The submission form requires a separate, explicit authorization for processing sensitive data where applicable.

Only share documents you own or are authorized to provide. Documents concerning children require the legal representative’s involvement and appropriate authorization, with respect for the child’s best interests and applicable legal requirements. You do not have to share documents to browse the website.

Providers and access.

Hosting processes uploads and stores accepted requests privately. The email provider processes the customer receipt and operational notification, which can include documents for a document request. Event notifications include only the submitted inquiry details. These services may involve international processing depending on the providers used.

Access is limited to the information needed to respond or deliver the confirmed assignment. Files are stored outside public routes using randomized storage names. Do not submit passwords, complete payment card details or pages unrelated to the request.

Your rights and how to contact us.

You may request access, correction, updating or deletion of your data; ask for evidence of authorization; revoke consent where applicable; and submit inquiries or complaints. Where Colombian rules require it, first complete the direct complaint process before contacting the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

Email info@diloglobal.com with the subject “Privacy”, your identification, the specific request, a way to reply and only the supporting information needed to process it. Data inquiries are answered within 10 business days; a notified extension may add up to 5 business days. Complaints are answered within 15 business days from the following day, with a notified extension of up to 8 business days. For incomplete complaints, additional information may be requested within 5 business days; after 2 months without a response, the complaint may be treated as withdrawn. These periods follow Articles 14 and 15 of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.

Retention periods.

Information or proposal requests that do not become an assignment are retained for up to 90 days. Documents in a request that does not become an assignment are retained in operational storage for up to 30 days, then removed. The initial analysis before submission does not retain a copy. An actual contract, legal obligation or dispute may require relevant records to be kept for the applicable period.

For the legal basis of the response periods, see Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Articles 14 and 15.
